Back in the mid to late 90s these two idiots were uber popular. Primarily with a teen and young adult audience, of course. If you were of that age during the time you probably went around laughing like “Heh-Heh, Heh-Heh, Heh-Heh” in a sort of homage to the two doofuses. Now, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the feature film starring Beavis and Butthead, Paramount has released a Blu-ray version.
You get a variety of actors/actresses providing voicework here. Bruce Willis (as Muddy), Demi Moore (as Dallas), Eric Bogosian (as Ranger), David Letterman (as Motley Crue roadie), Richard Linklater (as Tour Bus Driver), Robert Stack (as Agent Flemming), Greg Kinnear (as Agent Bork), David Spade (several voices), and Cloris Leachman (as Old Woman) all appear. Vocally, at least.
The story is of the K.I.S.S. (keep it simple, stupid) variety. Beavis (voiced by Mike Judge) and Butt-head (voiced by Mike Judge) wake up to find their television, which they love more than life, gone. This devastating loss leads to them embarking on a trip across the United States to try to get it back. That is pretty much the story. Well, there are small parts involving a deadly virus (who wants to see that?!?), cavity searches, an old lady, hallucination, and Motley Crue.
Silliness is the name of the game here. If you are familiar with the animated duo or a fan of them from back in the day on MTV then you know what you are in for here. Plenty of juvenile humour. Characters you know as well as some new ones make appearances.
